A nitrogen generator is a set of equipment that uses compressed air to obtain nitrogen after carbon molecular sieve adsorption treatment.

The purity of nitrogen can reach 95%~99.9995%.

The equipment is composed of adsorption tower, control circuit and valves no matter the size. 98% of the internal adsorption tower is filled with carbon molecular sieve.

The purity and output of nitrogen from a nitrogen generator depend on three aspects: design, the selection of carbon molecular sieves, and the number of carbon molecular sieves loaded.

There is no such thing as better or worse carbon molecular sieves for different models; only suitability matters.
Especially when it comes to replacing adsorbent carbon molecular sieves that have reached their service life, choosing the right model is a critical step. The general method for selecting the appropriate model is as follows:
1.SELECT ACCORDING TO NITROGEN PURITY
  • For nitrogen purity of 95%-97%, CMS-200 is selected.

2.SELECT THE MODEL ACCORDING TO THE FILLING QUANTITY

When we can determine the model according to the purity, we need to consider the filling quantity.

  • When the volume of the adsorption tower is unchanged (the filling density of carbon molecular sieve is not different) and the filling quantity is consistent, we can choose a higher grade to produce more nitrogen of the same purity.
  • Otherwise, when the flow rate is unchanged, we can achieve higher nitrogen purity (the adsorption pressure is the same).
NOTE

The appropriate selection of carbon molecular sieve model and the reasonable filling quantity are the key to ensuring the stable operation, high efficiency and long lifespan of the nitrogen generator.
